Matt McClure | Owner, President
Matt has been a part of the Nashville music industry for 25 years. He is a 3-time Grammy-nominated producer and engineer having celebrated great success in the last few years with multiple #1's in the country music industry. In 2014 Matt was recognized with the honor of “Song of the Year” producer at the CMA and ACM awards for the song "I Drive Your Truck", performed by Lee Brice. He also received awards for his other #1 hits with Brice: "Hard to Love", and "Drinking Class." July 16th, 2017 McClure received his latest #1 credit for mixing Dylan Scott’s “My Girl”. Recently, Matt has produced, engineered and/or mixed for such artists as Kellie Pickler, Lindsay Ell, Dylan Scott, George Ducas, Ruthie Collins, Halfway to Hazard, Sam Grow, Scotty James, Ben Klick, Mark Leach, Aaron Goodvin, Stephanie Quayle, Lucas Hoge, Eric Burgett, Seth Cook and Grayson Rogers. Prior to his success as a Nashville music producer, McClure spent 12 years as a road manager, production manager and / or Front of House Engineer for many recording artists including, Tanya Tucker, LoneStar, Jo Dee Messina, James Bonamy, Michael Peterson, Chely Wright, and Steve Holy. He then went on to form a very successful recording business cutting songs for Nashville’s premier songwriters, producing and cutting nearly 5000 song demos in under 10 years. Well over 100 of those clients’ demos went on to be #1’s for artists like George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, Billy Currington, Blake Shelton, and Rascal Flatts, just to name a few. He now uses all of those experiences to help guide the artists he manages and/or produces, developing short-term and long-term strategies to guide them through a successful Artist music career.
Alex Kidd | VP of Artist Relations
Kidd met Matt & Renee McClure in 2012 while serving as an intern at Matt’s recording studio, “The Roost”. In May of 2015, Kidd graduated with a degree in commercial music and music business from Millikin University. Shortly thereafter, he made a move to Nashville, TN and began assisting McClure full time. In the spring of 2017, Kidd received a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Davenport University. Kidd’s passion and exuberance for the industry made him a natural pick for Bow to Stern. He is a young professional with a deep understanding of social media, branding, and marketing. Kidd grew up in and around music, playing trumpet and piano since his childhood. His sales and organizational skills are exemplary. Alex brings a divergent and useful generational perspective to the company.
Renee McClure | A&R / Promotion & Marketing Consultant
Renee draws her experience from over 12 years in small market radio promotions. She currently resides as VP of Promotion at GrassRoots (Voted Country Aircheck’s #1 Independent promotion company in 2015, 2017, 2019 & 2021). As VP, her responsibilities have included overseeing all daily operations, airplay promotion, radio touring and artist tour support. During her tenure, Renee has executed promotion efforts for such artists as Alan Jackson, Lee Brice, Vince Gill, Jo Dee Messina, The Oak Ridge Boys, Lonestar, Sawyer Brown, James Otto, Aaron Watson, Bucky Covington, Logan Mize, and Little River band, and many others. Early on, Renee spent many years touring and performing as an independent artist followed by 8 years in corporate sales management. She’s combined those experiences and brought her expertise to the company’s clients. Renee has been Matt’s #1 A&R advisor throughout his career. Not only does she advise him on hit song choices, but she’s also an integral part of the final decision on which artists and bands Matt should be recording. Renee has been in the Nashville music community for over 25 years. She understands the needs of artists, specifically the resources necessary to develop a growth strategy for building a solid long-term career.
